Emerald green sparkling, embedded in the middle of huge rock walls, this is how the Königssee presents itself to its guests. It is not only the 190-metre depth and the Watzmann east face rising on the shore that gives the Königssee its breathtaking charm.
First by boat to the boat landing stage "Saletalm". On a wide path along the Saletbach to the idyllically situated Obersee. Continue along the right bank of the Obersee on a secured path through the Walchhüttenwand to a fork in the trail. The straight path leads to Fischunklalm. To the right, the red marked path leads over alpine meadows slightly uphill to the end of the valley surrounded by steep rock faces, the so-called Almboden. Here you can see the Röthbach waterfall, which plummets almost 500m.
